The Draft Withdrawal Agreement sets out in some detail how the competition and state aid rules apply in the UK in the period after the UK leaves the EU.
The Competition and Markets Authority has published guidance on how the UK merger control and antitrust regimes will be affected by the UK exiting the EU on 29 March 2019 in a possible “no deal” scenario.
The White Paper agreed by the Cabinet at Chequers on 6 July contains further detail on how the new state aid rules might operate, although the plan will be the subject of negotiations with the EU.
